Where Am I Right Now

I am a college student who takes eighteen hours of classes and works fifty hours a week. Although I have been busy and I find it hard to make time for school, I am content. I am happy with where I am, the friends I have made, and the progress I have seen in myself. I have been through a lot and I wish I could tell you everything because talking about it seems to help, but it would take too long. I heal every day. I know it sounds dramatic to say “heal,” but it’s true. I am healing. This class how showed me a sense of self-expression that I think I desperately needed. I have also been a writer. Now I am definitely not perfect at it and I could use some improvement, but I thoroughly enjoy it. I am almost finished with my freshman year of college and I can say that I did it. I made it through my first year alone. I made responsible decisions and some very irresponsible ones. I have also made irreversible memories. I am grateful to have the experiences I had this year and I have myself to thank because, in life, you are the only person you can count on forever. You are the only thing you can fully control, so make the best of the life you have.
